The Frog and the Ox

A young frog came running to her old father Frog: “Papa, Papa, I just saw a monster!”

“There is no such thing as monsters,” responded the old Frog. “What did it look like?”

“It had two horns, a long tail, and it was huge, the biggest thing I’ve ever seen!” said the young one.

“Oh, that’s just an ox. You’re exagerating about the size, it’s not that much bigger than I,” responded the old Frog pompously. He lifted his head and inflated his neck. “Was it this big?”

“No, it was much bigger!” responded the young one, unimpressed.

Puff, puff, kept on inflating the old Frog. “Like this?”

“No, bigger still!”

“Wait, I’ll show you…” Puff, puff, puff… “Like this?”

“No, much, much bigger still!”

Puff, puff, puff, puff… The old frog loaded and loaded, until it exploded!
