Two Hungry Seagulls
Two seagulls were lying on the shore.
“I’m hungry.” said the first seagull.
“Me too.” said the second seagull, “Let’s go find some food.”
The two seagulls took off, and flew over the sea. The first seagull dove in the water, and ate the fresh fish. The second seagull flew around, looking for a big cruise ship.
“Hey, I found a cruise ship!” said the second seagull.
“Are you sure that is healthy?” asked the first seagull, “I don’t think that food the people on the cruise ship are throwing is healthy. If I were you, I would avoid cruise ships. You will get a stomach ache if you eat too much of that, and no fish.”
The first seagull continued collecting fish.
The second seagull went over to the big cruise ship, and ate the food scraps people were throwing out the window.
When both of the seagulls were done eating, they headed to the shore.
“Ahhh.” said the second seagull, “That was great.”
“This is your second warning, if you eat too much food scraps and no fish, you will get a stomach ache.” said the first seagull.
The next day, the two seagulls went out to the sea to eat some food. The first seagull went and ate fish, and the second seagull went looking for a cruise ship. The second seagull found a huge ship, and ate the stuff people were throwing out of their windows. Both of the seagulls went back to the shore, and the second seagull felt just fine.
“Ahhh.” he said, “That was excellent.”
“This is your last warning: if you eat too much food scraps and no fish, you will eventually have a stomach ache.” said the first seagull.
The next day, the two seagulls went to eat food. They did their usual: the first seagull ate fish, and the second seagull ate the food scraps people in ships were throwing out of their windows. When they both returned to shore, the second seagull’s stomach started to hurt. He felt sick. When it was time to sleep, the first seagull slept fine, but the whole night, the second seagull’s stomach was really hurting him.
“Hey, I think I have a stomach ache.” said the second seagull in the middle of the night.
“See, I warned you that you should avoid food scraps, and garbage. Tomorrow, you should eat fish, like me.” said the first seagull.
The next day, both of the seagulls went to catch fish, and they all lived happily ever after.
